  • This one seemed all but over at the half, with the Warriors taking a 73-50 lead into the half.
  • This one seemed all but over in the middle of the third quarter, with the Warriors possessing a 94-63 lead with 7:25 seconds remaining in the quarter.
  • Then the comeback happened.
  • Los Angeles has a fantastic young core that's paired with a couple of "alpha" mindset players like Patrick Beverly and Montrezl Harrell. Both were crucial towards the Clippers come from behind victory. Beverly finished the game with 10 points and 5 assists but was fantastic down the stretch, drawing a couple of crucial offensive fouls and setting the tone for the Clippers. Harrell finished the game with 25 points and 10 rebounds on an amazing 9/9 from the field.
  • No player was as impressive as potential sixth man of the year (again) Lou Williams, who seemed to get the Clippers a bucket whenever they needed it the most. Lou finished the game with 36 points and 11 rebounds on 13/22 shooting.
  • In a bit of a buzzkill, Warriors big man Demarcus Cousins left this game with a Quad injury. It has now been reported that the Warriors have diagnosed Cousins with a Torn Quad. He won't need surgery, and Warriors doctors are going to see how Cousins responds to rehab over the next several weeks.
What Did We Learn

The Clippers are "light-years" ahead of their rebuild and are a couple of pieces away from being a serious force in the West. What a shocker, Jerry West has the franchise on the right track. Numerous young pieces looked outstanding in this game, including Landry Shamet who hit a big three in crunch time.

Expect the Warriors to bounce back in a big way in Game 3. But this series just got a little more interesting.
